Minister Orders Investigation Into Bobrisky Bribery Scandal, Falana Issues Legal Threat
The Nigerian Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has initiated an investigation into bribery allegations within the Nigerian Correctional Service. The directive follows a viral voice note shared by social media influencer Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, which mentioned Bobrisky, a popular socialite.
In the recording, Bobrisky claimed that after being convicted and sentenced for abusing the naira notes, his godfather, with the help of the Nigerian Correctional Service Controller General, arranged for him to serve his six-month sentence in a private apartment rather than in prison.

The voice note also alleged that Bobrisky paid a N15 million bribe to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to drop money laundering charges. Furthermore, Bobrisky claimed that rapper Falz and his father, human rights lawyer Femi Falana, offered to help him secure a Federal Government pardon for a fee of N10 million.
In response to these claims, Femi Falana strongly denied any involvement. His legal team issued a pre-action letter to VeryDarkMan, demanding a public retraction within 24 hours or face legal consequences.
