DSS Arrests Ajaero: Not Linked to Police Invitation, Says Falana
On Monday, Femi Falana, Senior Advocate of Nigeria and Counsel to the Nigeria Labour Congress, clarified that Joe Ajaero’s recent arrest by the Department of State Services (DSS) is not related to an earlier police invitation.
Ajaero was detained by DSS officials at the airport on Monday morning while traveling to the United Kingdom for the TUC Conference. Falana confirmed that this arrest is unrelated to the police invitation, which was about a “threat to public peace” and had been rescheduled.
