Man Allegedly Kills Grandfather and Uncle for Money Ritual in Ibadan

A middle-aged man, identified as Alfa Ahmed, has been accused of killing his grandfather and uncle for an alleged money ritual in Ibadan, Oyo State. The incident reportedly took place on Sunday evening near a popular market in Apete, within the Ido Local Government Area.

According to local sources, the suspect took advantage of his visually impaired grandfather and his sick uncle, attacking them when they were most vulnerable. Witnesses claim that Ahmed’s motive was to use body parts for ritual purposes, though this remains unconfirmed.

Residents in the area quickly alerted the police after discovering the tragic event, which has left the community in shock.

Oyo State Police spokesperson Adewale Osifeso confirmed the killings and stated that investigations are underway, with updates to follow as more information becomes available.
